Intake: 40 seats

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
(A)(i) The candidate for above training must have passed 10+2 class preferably Science (PCB) & English with aggregate 40 % marks from a recognized Board of School Education or its equivalent Board.
(ii) 10+2 in Arts (Mathematics, Biotechnology, Economics, Political Science, History, Geography, Business Studies, Accountancy, Home Science, Sociology, Psychology, Philosophy) and English Core/English Elective or Health Care Science – Vocational stream only, passing out from recognized Board under AISSCE/CBSE/ICSE/SSCE/HSCE or other equivalent Board with 40% marks.
(iii) 10+2 Arts or Science examination or Health Care Science – Vocational stream only conducted by National Institute of Open School with 40% marks.
(iv) For SC/ST candidates, there will be relaxation of 5 % marks.

(B) The age of candidates should be between 17 to 35 years (as on 31st December of the admission year). However, a relaxation of 5 years in the upper age limit shall be applicable for SC/ST candidates. Note: The selection of the candidates is purely on merit basis of qualifying examination i.e. 10+2 preferably with science (Physics, Chemistry & Biology) and there is no provision/quota kept for in-service/direct FHW/ANM candidates for doing the GNM training course.

ANM

Intake: 40 seats

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
(A) (i) 10+2 in Arts ((Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology,
Biotechnology, Economics, Political Science, History, Geography, Business Studies, Accountancy, Home Science, Sociology, Psychology, and Philosophy) and English Elective or Science or Health care Science – Vocational stream only passing out from recognized Board.
(ii) Student qualified in 10+2 Arts or Science examination conducted by National Institute of Open School.
(iii) For SC/ST candidates, there will be relaxation of 5 % marks.

(B) The age of candidates should be between 17 to 35 years (as on 31st December of the admission year). However, a relaxation of 5 years in the upper age limit shall be applicable for SC/ST candidates.

B.Sc. Nursing

Intake: 50 seats

ELIGIBILITY AND EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
1. Female Children of Bonafide Himachali/Domicile/Himachal Govt. employees and employees of Autonomous bodies wholly or partially financed by the Himachal Pradesh Government will only be eligible to apply for admission to 4 years B.Sc. Nursing Degree Course through Entrance Test to be conducted by H.P.

2. The age of the candidates should be between 17 to 35 years as on 31 st December, 2018 However, upper age can be relaxable by 5 years in the case of SC/ST candidates. Age as recorded in the matriculation certificate will be entertained.

3. A candidate should have passed 10+2 or its equivalent examination from H.P. Board of School Education/AISSCE/CBSE/ICSE/SSCE/HSCE or any other Board/University established by law in India in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English individually with 45% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology at the qualifying examination. The candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC, the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together in qualifying examination will be 40% instead of 45% as stated above. Provided further that English is a compulsory subject in 10+2 for being eligible for admission to B.Sc.(Nursing) course. The candidate should be medically fit.

Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing

Intake: 15 seats

ELIGIBILITY, EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND OTHER CONDITIONS FOR ADMISSION

1. Admission to Post-Basic B.Sc. Nursing Degree course shall be made on the basis of merit of the Entrance Test to be conducted by the Himachal Pradesh University Shimla for which the female candidates only are eligible subject to fulfillment of the following conditions:-
(a) The candidates should be registered as registered Nurse/Midwife (RN/RM) with H.P. State Nurses Registration Council, Shimla at the time of counseling. Provided further that the candidates belonging to another states of the country should be registered in their respective State Nurses Registration Council and at the time of Counseling, they must produced NOC for pursuing their higher studies outside the state from the Registrar of the concerned State Registration Council.
(b) The candidate must have passed 10+2 and its equivalent examination from recognized Board/University established by Law in India with minimum 40% aggregate marks. For SC/ST/OBC candidates the required percentage of aggregate marks will be 35%. c) The candidate must have obtained 50% marks in General Nursing & Midwifery from the School/Institution recognized by the Indian Nursing Council/Himachal Pradesh Nurses Registration Council.
